The hero slider can display slides in two different ways — Manual and Auto. Let's check out both options in detail.

1) Manual Method:

This option is turned on by default. If you need more control over what you want to show in the hero section and want to add your own slides this option is perfect for you. You can manually insert slides and display whatever you want.

Open the template in Design Tools and click on the slider module, on the right side you'll see all the available options. Scroll down until you see the "Slider Box"

Now, let's add a new slide. Click + Add to add a new slide.

Once the slide has been added, you can go inside and add your Hero Image, Title, Description as well as your Call to action.

The ideal size for the hero image is 1920x1080

Publish the changes and you're good to go!

Tip: Hover over the existing slide to delete it or edit it

Tip: If you just want to show a single Hero image, simply delete the rest of the slides and you'll only see a single hero image on the blog.

2) Auto Method:

In case, you don't need this manual option and just want to show the most popular posts in the slider — We have added a cool option for you.

Open the template in Design Tools and click on the slider module, on the right side you'll see all the available options. Scroll down until you see the "Slider Box" Turn on the "Show popular posts in the slider" switch and you're ready to roll.

You don't have to set up anything, the module will automatically fetch the most popular posts and display there in the hero slider.

Note: This module needs some data in order to work so use this method once your articles has some views. If you have a brand new blog go with the first method.
