Our blog templates use global header and footer groups to automatically update the changes throughout the blog.
Follow the steps below to update the navigation menu.
First of all, you have to set up your navigation menus under Settings > Website > Navigation. See this article for more info (If you have already set up the menus then move onto the next step.)
Step 1)
Go to Marketing > Files and Templates > Design Tools and Open the blog template.
Step 2)
Click on the Awwal - Common Global Header group and on the right panel click More then select Edit global group.
Step 3)
The global Header will open in a new tab. Click on the Menu module (Screenshot below)
Step 4)
On the right panel, you will see all available options. Scroll down until you see the Menu dropdown.
Step 5)
Under the Menu dropdown, select your existing menu. (If you don't have one — See this article to learn how to create a new menu.)
Set other options as below
- Advanced menu type: Select "Static - Always show top-level pages"
- Max levels: Change it depending on the dropdowns you have
- Orientation: Select Horizontal
- Enable flyouts: Enable this
Step 6)
Finally, Click publish changes and you're good to go! You've successfully updated your menu in the blog template.
